NATIONAL PARK, N.C. — The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is expanding its efforts to identify and find dogs and cats for adoption at national parks.
The agency is announcing Tuesday that it has launched a new online website called AdoptionForMe.com, which will allow anyone with an online address to search for adoptable dogs and kittens in the United States and Canada.
“We’re excited to be able to help you find the perfect home for your furry friends,” said Dan Shaughnessy, the agency’s acting assistant director of national parks and natural resources.
“AdoptionForME.com will be the go-to source for national parks with adoptable animals.
Through Adoption For Me, you can search for the perfect place for your beloved pet and find the adoption agency that’s best for you.”
Adoption ForMe..com allows people to find and apply for adoptions from across the country, with information on dogs and puppies that are available in their local park, as well as pets that may be eligible for adoption.
Adoptions can be made at the park or by phone or email.
The site also includes the following information:How to applyFor dogs and pets that are eligible to adopt in the U., you’ll find an easy-to-follow process to fill out a quick application.
The application must be submitted to a park or a registered dog breeder or a local dog shelter.
The fee is $99 for the first year, $69 for the second year and $119 for each additional year.
The agency will contact potential adopters and ask them to complete an adoption application and then contact the local adoption agency directly.
To be eligible to take part in an adoption, a person must meet the eligibility requirements listed on the Adoption for Me website.
Adoption fees are waived if the person is living with or at the expense of the person in need of the animal.
The U. S. Fish & Wildlife Service has been able to find thousands of dogs and thousands of cats for adoptability since it launched its Animal Rescue Mission in January 2011.
The program has helped find more than 300,000 animals in the past year, the largest number in more than a decade, according to the agency.
com also provides a way for people to share their experience and find other local adopters in their area.
It also allows people who have a pet to share photos and video of their pet and to apply for a pet.
The website has more than 12,000 dogs and over 200,000 cats on it, with photos and videos showing them.
“Our mission is to find the most loving, adoptable and adoptable companion animals for people in need and to help the American public make a better choice for their pets,” Shaughnes said.
The Fish and Game Service has also begun to find more homes for orphaned dogs and rescued kittens.
In March, the Fish & Game Service announced it was partnering with the Humane Society of the United Kingdom (HSUK) to place up to 10 rescued kittens into foster homes across the United and Northern Hemisphere.
The HSUK will train local volunteers to adopt out the dogs and to train rescuers to find new homes for the kittens, and it is encouraging people to take their pets into foster care.
The organization said the goal is to provide an environment that fosters the most adoptable cats and dogs in the world.
The Humane Society also is looking for homes for rescued dogs in a new project called Rescue the Animals, in which the organization will place up 1,000 of the animals into foster facilities across the U, UK and Ireland.
