New York — A team of animal rescuers, who rescued a kitten in a cat adoption effort, is trying to find another cat in the Bronx.
The kittens were found at a local shelter on Friday, the New York Times reported.
A group of volunteers will meet Saturday to decide on a final name for the kitten.
The team hopes to adopt the kitten after it has a home, the newspaper reported.
“It’s a really unique cat, but it’s a cute one,” said David Gorman, the group’s founder and the groups director.
Gorman said the group will work with a local rescue organization to help them find another kitten.
The cats are currently being housed in a local pet store.
The team hopes the cat is adopted by a local cat lover and the kittens is adopted back to the rescue group.
Gormann said the rescue team was able to reunite the cats with their owners when they returned to the shelter.
The organization, which works to reunify stray animals, was founded by Gorman in January.
