The cat owner of a retired NFL player was just too happy to have Colin Kaepernick adopt a cat.
Kaepernick’s mother is a retired teacher, and when she was a little girl she would pick up her pet and adopt it.
She thought it would be a good idea to adopt Kaepernick’s favorite pet, a cat named “Bobby,” a retired 49ers quarterback who had retired earlier this year.
After learning that Kaepernick was a retired player, she took a trip to Las Vegas and bought a cat for the dog.
Kapernick’s mother gave her permission to adopt Bobby, who now lives in Denver.
“When I saw him in person, he was very happy to see me,” said the cat owner, who did not want to be identified because she was afraid of dogs.
“I think he’s the most happy person I’ve ever met.
I don’t think I could get more happy.”
After seeing Kaepernick and learning he was a veteran of the military, he told her he had been thinking about adopting Bobby.
“He said, ‘Mom, I’m gonna adopt Bobby because he is so special to me,'” said the Cat owner.
“It was so beautiful to see a retired football player in a loving home, and to have him adopt his cat was really special.”
Kaepernick was so excited to adopt a new family member, he posted the photo on his Instagram account and asked his fans to help him find his new family.
“I got the most incredible response, and I just wanted to share it with everyone, because I know I’m not the only one,” he said.
“This is not the first time I’ve been asked this question.
I have two adopted cats and one adopted dog, so I can say I’ve seen many adoption stories.”
The cat owner said the cats were so sweet and loving.
“They really love the dogs, and they do everything for their owners, and the cat is really happy,” she said.
“My cats are so smart, and my dogs are so energetic and playful, and so adorable,” she added.
“They’re just super cute.”
After the Cat’s adoption, the owner had to give Kaepernick a new name.
“After the cats, I named him Colin, because he’s a retired quarterback, and he’s always been that way,” she told ABC News.
“But after the cats got the nickname ‘Bobby,’ they were like, ‘We’re going to call him Bobby.'”
Kaepernick is now the father of a 7-year-old girl and the adoptive parents are both proud of their cat.
“We’re so happy, we’re so proud, we love him, we just love him so much,” said Colin Kaepernick’s adoptive parents, Amy and Mark Kaepernick.
“We just can’t believe how much he’s meant to us.”
